About the Magazine
Published from 1985–2013, each quarterly issue of the OAH Magazine of History focused on a theme in U.S. history. Articles drew upon recent scholarship, surveyed the historiography, and provided practical teaching strategies. Guest edited and written by subject specialists, the OAH Magazine, enhanced the teaching and presentation of U.S. history in secondary and college classrooms, as well as in public history settings.
Please note, the OAH Magazine of History will cease publication with its October 2013 issue (volume 27, number 4). The full archive of back issues are available to OAH members at Oxford University Press. The OAH Magazine also may be found online at JSTOR.
