solved, in steady manly Firmness,
to support & establish American
Liberty, or die in Battle!
Every Hour a Kings Ship is
[e]xpected up the River.
A Company of Volunteers
is now raising at Cohansie,
[o]new of sixteen which are soon
[to] be raised in the Colony, to
[m]arch to the Northward. Into
[th]is Company, of which Richard
Yowel Esqr. is Capt. who was
[fo]rmerly in happier Times
[my] School mate----And John
