to know whether you returned safe, &
whether the flaming 10th of July did not
parch you into a Fever; these, with your
kind permission, will, I hope, justify
this Conduct with you, & I rely wholly
upon your Goodness by them, & trust
you will look over, & pardon, occasional
& necessary Errors.

-- ------You can scarcely conceive,
unless you have in some Case had the
same feeling, how melancholy, Spirit-
less, & forsaken you left Several when
you left Deerfield! A sullen & Disagreeable
Silence Succeeded the Conversation and
Songs which your Presence excited.
---- Every Countenance discovered
a fluttering, doubtful, bewildered Mind.
---- For my part I cannot walk,
nor read, nor talk, nor ride, nor sleep,
