I am, however, now disbanded----
I am not therefore at liberty; but
must away to the westward, over
Mountains, and sylvan wilds; among
I know not what kind of people----
Possibly it may be my lot to go a-
-mong men barbarous, clownish,
and ungospelized as the Indians
who have lately been compelled
by violence to leave those Lands! ----
Great God----! I am going
on thy business, and, I trust by
thy appointment; grant me, then, in
mercy, thy direction, thy blessing
and a large portion of thy grace
and spirit----Make me a faith-
-ful, an able, and an useful
Shepherd, that I may have thy
