Therefore it so excelent and glorious
so pur and faithfull I would take
it for my direction and guide and
O that I might lead a spiritual life
wherefore let me regulate my life
by the word of God and by such scrip-
-tures as these. First for regulating
my affections Col. 3d. & 3d. Set your
affections on things above not on things
on the Earth and verse 5th. Mortify
therefore your members which
are upon the Earth fornication
uncleanness inordinate affection
evil concupisence and covetousness
which is Idolatry." Gal. 5th. & 4th.
And they that are Christs have
crucified the flesh with the affections
