Feeble and unavailing efforts!
Three thousand british forces were
sent, & are now to be joined
by two thousand more, with two-
hundred Horse----Five thousand
hireling Regulars, at six-pence Ster-
-ling per Day, most of them young
and unused to hardships----Five
thousand hireling Britons, against
the Millions of America’s hardy
Sons----The odds is five
thousand against thirty hundred
thousand; And all those myriads
fighting for what is dear to them
as life, which they will as soon
give up to power----!
O America! Unwieldy mass,
