------According to a previous
Agreement between Mr Paterson,
the two Master Beattys, between
Polly, Sally, Ruth, & [Beckka?] Fithian,
& Myself, to attempt Something
at several Houses in Greenwich
like a Serenade.------ The at-
tempt is intirely new, & must for
the firs Time by conducted with
Moderation & Caution------According
to our Agreement, about six o Clock,
Mr Paterson, & the two Master Bea-
tys came in; We had wished for
one who is wholly a Stranger, to
stand by the Doors, & if any should
attempt to come out, he might
inform them of the nature of the
