peevish only because he is generally
in Love.
Drank Tea with my Landlady; & some
young Ladies at Mrs Nicholls this
Afternoon.
Was highly diverted this Afternoon,
by seeing a Gentleman, the Husband of
a Wife that is upwards of Seventy, &
who is himself past the middle Stage
of Life, undertake to [?] a promis-
cuous Company of Women that had
met together at a Quilting.
The Oddness of his Address to them
before he begun, which was bold, rough,
&
insinuating; & the Greediness of
his Inclination which he discovered
in his first Advances, together with
his invinceable Resolution of Som-
ething what he had now begun,
