Lincoln Recollections
There are thousands of published Lincoln recollections. We have compiled a bibliography of hundreds of them here, focusing on sources that are freely accessible online. Some are stored at educational sites such as the Making of America (Cornell, Michigan) or Their Own Words (Dickinson), but most have been posted for free as part of the massive digitization project by Google Books and Internet Archive. The digitization of public domain works such as these collections represents a revolutionary step forward for scholars who can now gain instant access to rare volumes as well as the ability to employ full-text searching to books that sometimes lack indexes.
